My still-life photography all comes from being inspired by beautiful things, everyday things, natural elements and nature that exists in our everyday lives.

Creating is in my bones, I crave for these moments, expressing my vision for others to enjoy.

Keeping my photography simple, not too busy seems to be the key, whether it dark or light, creating brings excitement and I always look forward to what comes next…

Letterpress printing allows me the freedom to experiment with lead or wooden type or polymer plates and ink. The sound of ‘Heidi’, my 1960’s Heidleberg T-Platen operating is like the music of a junior orchestra to my ears. I am always listening for a sound that isn’t quite right as a warning that I need to stop or adjust something quickly!

I still have much to learn, and that is the beauty and thing I enjoy.

Working in an ‘old-school’ environment gives me a greater appreciation of the way craftspeople built and used printing presses and created amazing printed works in the past and it is my effort to continue this tradition on into the future, and to become something I can enjoy in my retirement (still many years away).
